Mumford & Sons Release fifth album Rushmere and announce North American tour
5 d
Mumford & Sons are back with their highly anticipated fifth studio album, RUSHMERE, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the renowned folk-rock trio. The album, named after the place in Wimbledon where the band first met, follows a period of intense creativity and personal exploration.
Produced in collaboration with nine-time Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, RUSHMERE was recorded at RCA Studio A in Nashville, in Savannah, GA, and in Devon, U.K. This latest effort reflects the band’s evolved sound and deepened artistry, while still capturing the raw emotion and anthemic energy that has defined their career.
To celebrate the album’s release, Mumford & Sons have also announced an extensive North American arena and amphitheater tour set to take place later this year. Kicking off on June 5 in Bend, Oregon, the tour will conclude on October 26 at CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. Along the way, they will be joined by a diverse lineup of support acts, including Japanese Breakfast, Gregory Alan Isakov, Michael Kiwanuka, Sierra Ferrell, Gigi Perez, Margo Price, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Good Neighbours, and Divorce.
Fans eager to secure their spots can purchase tickets starting Friday, April 4. Full pre-sale and on-sale details are available at www.mumfordandsons.com.
In keeping with their commitment to social causes, Mumford & Sons have partnered with PLUS1 to support War Child, an organization dedicated to protecting and advocating for children affected by war. One dollar from every ticket sold will be donated to War Child’s mission. More information about the initiative can be found at www.warchild.org.uk.
This North American tour announcement follows the band’s hugely successful U.K. arena tour, which sold out in under two hours. The trio is also set to headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool this May, further solidifying their status as one of the most influential bands in modern folk and rock.
Over the years, Mumford & Sons—comprised of Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane—have earned multiple accolades, including two BRIT Awards and two Grammy Awards, one of which was the prestigious Album of the Year. Their ability to blend folk instrumentation with arena-sized rock energy has cemented their place as one of the most successful and enduring bands of their generation. Their signature sound has not only influenced numerous contemporary artists but also led them to headline major festivals like Glastonbury and sell out arenas worldwide.
Since their last album, the band members have explored solo endeavors and reconnected with past collaborators, leading them back to the essence of their musical origins. With RUSHMERE, Mumford & Sons return to their roots while embarking on an exciting new journey, promising fans an album filled with passion, depth, and the unmistakable spirit of the band.
