Manchester indie stalwarts The Slow Readers Club are set to celebrate a pivotal moment in their career with the announcement of their ‘A Decade of Cavalcade’ anniversary tour. Marking ten years since the release of their breakthrough album, Cavalcade, the tour will see the band revisit the record that propelled them into the UK indie scene.

Released in 2015, Cavalcade resonated deeply with fans thanks to its atmospheric soundscapes and emotive lyrics, featuring beloved tracks like "Plant The Seed" and "I Saw A Ghost." The album's impact was significant, notably earning them the support of the band James, whose invitation on tour broadened their fanbase considerably.

Frontman Aaron Starkie reflected on the album's importance, stating, "Cavalcade was the album that changed everything for us. It connected with so many people and set us on this journey. To revisit it ten years later, at a time when we’re reaching new heights, feels really special. We can’t wait to celebrate it with our fans."

The tour announcement follows a successful year for the band, with their latest album Out Of A Dream reaching Number 11 in the UK Official Charts. To further commemorate the anniversary, The Slow Readers Club will also release special anniversary editions of Cavalcade on vinyl, CD, and cassette, alongside exclusive merchandise.

The ‘A Decade of Cavalcade’ tour kicks off in December 2025, hitting Birmingham, London, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, and culminating in a hometown show in Manchester. Tickets go on general sale this Friday, April 11th.
