A nightclub bouncer who witnessed an altercation between Liam Gallagher and his girlfriend Debbie Gwyther, has blasted the rocker for behaving "like an animal".

Footage of the incident at London's trendy Chiltern Firehouse nightspot earlier this month emerged over the weekend (25-26Aug18), showing the former Oasis frontman shoving and grabbing at Debbie's throat in a corridor before walking off.

Both Liam, 45, and his 36-year-old girlfriend have denied the footage shows anything more than drunken horseplay - but Max Ksiazek, a bouncer who dealt with the rocker on the night in question, has accused the Wall of Glass singer of acting "like an animal" and being "full of aggression".

"A member of staff said Liam was attacking her," he told British newspaper The Sun. "As I got down the stairs he had basically grabbed her by the neck. When I got to the corridor I shouted, 'Liam!' He released his hand from her and I escorted him through the courtyard. We had a conversation at the doors and he was basically saying it was her fault and that she was a witch - he was just constantly repeating that."

According to The Sun, who have also published video footage of Max leading Liam away through the venue's courtyard, the bouncer has lost his job for going public with his view of the incident - which he said: "was absolutely no drunken joke."

The security professional added: "The fact it happened in a public place, it makes you think about what is happening behind closed doors. It is sad and that is why I did it. He (Liam) acted like an animal. He seemed full of aggression. There was no remorse, he didn't care what happened to Debbie or ask if she was okay. I was genuinely worried about her safety. She was in tears, she was shaking."

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Debbie denied her rock star beau had been violent, saying: "It feels like they're on a witch hunt to dirty Liam's name. Our relationship is stronger than ever. Liam's never laid a hand on me. It is completely ridiculous."

He has also vehemently denied the allegations, writing on Twitter: "Firstly I have never put my hands on any woman in a vicious manner Secondly there is only 1 witch and we all know who that is as you were LG x."

Liam has referred to his brother Noel's wife, Sara MacDonald, as a "witch" in the past, accusing her of preventing an Oasis reunion.
