Mike Myers to play Keith Moon

Mike Myers will play Keith Moon in an upcoming movie about the legendary Who star, it has been confirmed.

Plans for the film have been in discussions for some months, leading to reports that the "Austin Powers" actor would take on the role.

Who singer Roger Daltrey apparently backed plans for Myers to play Moon in the biopic, which has the working title of "See Me Feel Me (Keith Moon Naked For Pleasure".

The film's co-producer Nigel Sinclair has reportedly now confirmed the news, commenting: "Roger's dream was to have Mike as the creative force to pull the project together"

Keith Moon died in 1978 at the age of 32.
