Britney Spears has apologised to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake for "some of the things" she revealed in her memoir.
The pop star took to Instagram on Sunday night and posted a recent clip of Justin performing with classroom instruments on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
In the caption, she declared that she was "deeply sorry" for what she wrote about their relationship in The Woman in Me, which was released in October.
"I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry..." she wrote, not specifying exactly what parts of the book she was apologising for.
The Toxic singer, 42, then praised Selfish, the lead single from Justin's upcoming album, and Sanctified, a track he performed on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
"I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake's new song Selfish... It is soo (sic) good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps Sanctified is wow too," she added.
Britney, who made her Instagram private after sharing the post, dated Justin between 1999 and 2002.
Revisiting the relationship in The Woman in Me, the Stronger hitmaker claimed the NSYNC star cheated on her and that she got an abortion after the Cry Me a River singer told her he didn't want to be a father when she fell pregnant.
Justin has not publicly addressed any of the allegations in the memoir. He recently returned to the spotlight to launch Selfish, the lead single from his album Everything I Thought It Was, and announce The Forget Tomorrow World Tour.
