Kanye West has asked his fans to help him book arenas as he tries to mount a comeback following his antisemitism controversy.
The Stronger rapper claimed on Tuesday night that venue organisers are refusing to book him, despite his hometown show at the United Center in Chicago selling out in minutes.
"We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes... It's the only arena that I had access to in the past year. And when I call, people say there's no (availabilities) for me, and you know why that is. So if there's anybody out there that can help with this, please do," he said in an Instagram video, which he swiftly deleted.
In a separate post, he wrote, "I have not been allowed to perform in a year. Feels like the Elvis Presley movie."
The 46-year-old subsequently posted screenshots of messages containing potential venue offers.
Kanye is currently making a comeback after he was dropped from several partnerships in late 2022 for making antisemitic remarks on social media and interviews.
In December 2023, he issued an apology to the Jewish community in Hebrew, writing, "It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused."
He will perform alongside Ty Dolla $ign at the United Center in Chicago on Thursday, the night before they release their joint album, Vultures. Further volumes of Vultures will be released in March and April.
