Kacey Musgraves has confirmed that she is gearing up to release a new album.
The 35-year-old country star is set to release her fifth studio album, titled Deeper Well, on 15 March via Interscope and MCA Nashville.
"It's a collection of songs I hold very dear to my heart," Kacey wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday. "I hope it makes a home in all of your hearts, too."
The lead single from the album is the title track, which is accompanied by a music video directed by Hannah Lux Davis.
Kacey co-produced the upcoming 14-track album with long-time collaborators Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian. The trio previously worked together on her albums Star-crossed and Golden Hour.
Recorded primarily at Electric Lady Studios, the new album was inspired by New York City's Greenwich Village.
"I was seeking some different environmental energy, and Electric Lady has the best mojo. Great ghosts," said Kacey in a new statement.
"Sometimes you reach a crossroads. Winds change direction. What you once felt drawn to doesn't hold the same allure," she continued, adding, "you get blown off course but eventually find your footing and forage for new inspiration, new insight and deeper love somewhere else."
Deeper Well follows her fourth studio album Star-Crossed, which was released in September 2021.
Kacey's announcement comes days after she won Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her track with Zach Bryan, I Remember Everything.
