Gwen Stefani has has revealed that her 17-year-old son is a talented songwriter.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night, the singer-songwriter revealed that her eldest son, Kingston Rossdale, has followed in her footsteps as a songwriter.

"You would be freaked out. This kid is such a good songwriter, and out of nowhere," Gwen, 54, told the talk show host. "We were like, 'You're lying. You didn't write that.'"

The Sweet Escape hitmaker explained that Kingston made his musical debut in August last year during a show at his stepfather Blake Shelton's Oklahoma bar, where he gave a surprise solo performance.

"It was really exciting and it's weird, 'cause even last night he was playing for us and I was like, 'Wow.' It's mind-blowing," Gwen gushed.

The Rich Girl singer added, "You don't know what your kids are going to do and then all of a sudden they find themselves, and you're like 'Wow.'"

Gwen shares Kingston with her ex-husband, English musician Gavin Rossdale. The exes, who were married from 2002 to 2016, also share sons Zuma, 15, and Apollo, nine.

The Hollaback Girl singer tied the knot with Blake in 2021.
