Selena Gomez has announced that she will be releasing a new song titled Love On.

The singer/actress took to Instagram on Thursday to announce that she will be releasing her first song of 2024 later this month.

"Wait 'til I turn my love on," the 31-year-old wrote in the caption, seemingly quoting the song's lyrics. "Presave my new song Love On out 2.22."

As part of the announcement, Selena shared the song's cover art, which shows the former Disney star wearing a luxurious white bathrobe, a hair towel and sunglasses as she leans against a window frame looking out at the ocean.

The singer's forthcoming track will be her first release since she released her song Single Soon on 25 August last year. Single Soon was produced by her record producer boyfriend Benny Blanco and debuted at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Love On and Single Soon are expected to appear on Selena's unreleased fourth studio album, although she hasn't revealed any details.

Selena has previously teased that she is working on a new album, which she also hinted could be her last.

"I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting," the Only Murders in the Building star revealed during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast in January.

"I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time but apparently that hobby turned into something else," Selena added at the time. "I don't think I'm the best singer but I do know how to tell stories and I love being able to make songs."
