Brian Wilson, the mastermind behind the Beach Boys, is suffering from "a major neurocognitive disorder."
Brian's team have filed to place the iconic musician under a conservatorship, show reports obtained by The Blast.
The filing states the 81-year-old is suffering from a “major neurocognitive disorder (such as dementia)" and is unable to take care of himself.
The report also says that Brian isn't able to take the appropriate medication, and doesn't have the capacity to make informed decisions about his care.
Brian's wife of 28 years, Melinda, died in January, aged 77.
Brian co-founded the Beach Boys and co-wrote many of their greatest hits, including Good Vibrations and God Only Knows.
He's spoken publicly about his mental health issues, including mild manic depression and auditory hallucinations.
