Taylor Swift has donated $100,000 (£80,000) to a GoFundMe for the family of a Kansas City radio DJ killed at a Super Bowl parade.

The Cruel Summer hitmaker made the generous donation to a GoFundMe page to support the family of the radio DJ, Lisa Lopez-Galvan, who was fatally shot in a mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade on Wednesday.

In honour of the radio DJ, a memorial page was set up on Thursday with the goal of raising $75,000 (£60,000) for her family.

On Friday, the All Too Well hitmaker donated $100,000, bringing the amount of money raised way over the target.

"Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift," wrote the singer, who is dating Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

More than 20 people were injured during the shooting, including three family members of Lisa, who was the host of KKFI's Taste of Tejano.

A statement on the GoFundMe page read, "This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed."

The statement continued, "She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. We ask that you continue to keep her family in your prayers as we grieve the loss of her life. This fund will help provide vital financial support to her family as they process this unthinkable tragedy. Any amount is appreciated."

Taylor watched Travis and the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on Sunday and she is now in Melbourne, Australia on The Eras Tour.
