Machine Gun Kelly's new tattoo consists of black ink covering the top half of his body.

The singer revealed the look in an Instagram post. The black ink covers most of his upper torso, with some panels in it to show his previous tattoos underneath.

He captioned the post, "For spiritual purposes only" and thanked the tattoo artist, Roxx, who did the work.

In a separate post, he told how the tattoo needed "44 needles", and that he had a "spiritual consultation" with Roxx before the work was done.

In an interview with TMZ, Roxx told how the 33-year-old felt his previous tattoos no longer resonated with his current mindset and were "chaotic."

She added that Machine Gun was the "toughest client she's ever had" and the tattoo was "one of the biggest she's done in such a short time."

The pair started working together in December, and the ink was done over the course of 13 six hours sessions.
