Raye broke the record for the most wins by an artist in a single ceremony at the 2024 BRIT Awards on Saturday night.
The Escapism hitmaker made history with seven nominations in January, and she continued her record-breaking streak during the awards show on Saturday.
Raye, real name Rachel Keen, swept the board with six awards, including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for My 21st Century Blues, Best New Artist, Best R&B Act, Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year for Escapism.
With her wins, she beat the record of four that was jointly shared by Blur, Harry Styles and Adele.
Raye seemed more and more astounded by her wins each time she went up to the podium. As she accepted the final award of the night, Album of the Year, she brought her grandmother up on stage and burst into tears as she tried to begin her speech.
"You just don't understand what this means to me," she said in between sobs. "What is happening right now?... I'm so sorry... I'm ugly crying on national television."
After thanking her family and members of her team, Raye exclaimed, "All I ever wanted to be was an artist and now I'm an artist with an Album of the Year!"
The singer also took to the stage during the ceremony to perform a medley of her hits; Ice Cream Man, Prada and Escapism.
Elsewhere, Dua Lipa opened the show with her latest single, Training Season, and later collected the Best Pop Act award, while Calvin Harris performed Miracle with Ellie Goulding and later won Best Dance Act.
In the international categories, Miley Cyrus won song of the year for Flowers, boygenius was named group of the year, and SZA was crowned artist of the year. All three sent in video acceptance speeches.
Kylie Minogue was presented with the honorary Global Icon Award by Dua Lipa and closed the show with a medley of her songs Padam Padam, Can't Get You Out of My Head, Slow, Love at First Sight and All the Lovers.
Other performers included Becky Hill with Chase and Status, Tate McRae, Rema and Jungle.
The 2024 BRIT Awards were hosted by Maya Jama, Roman Kemp and Clara Amfo at the O2 Arena in London.
