Rachel Stevens has revealed how S Club will mark the one-year anniversary of bandmate Paul Cattermole’s death.
The 46-year-old singer was found dead at his home in Dorset on 6 April 2023, just weeks after the British pop group had announced plans for a reunion tour.
Rachel has spoken about the pain of losing Paul and insisted he is never far from the thoughts of her and her bandmates.
“I can't believe it is coming up to a year, but we will absolutely be raising a glass,” she told The Sun on Sunday.
“We celebrate him all the time and that has been another thing that has been so special about coming back together.”
Rachel also added that performing live with her bandmates Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, and Jo O'Meara was a healing process following Paul’s death.
“Paul was so excited about this tour, and it has turned into such a tribute to and celebration of him,” Rachel explained.
“It has been very emotional, but it's a very cathartic way of sharing him and his memories.”
Paul died suddenly and it was later confirmed his passing was as a result of heart-related issues.
His ex-girlfriend and bandmate Hannah Spearritt pulled out of the reunion tour shortly after his death.
