Britney Spears posted a throwback video of her kissing her estranged husband Sam Asghari on Instagram on Thursday.
The Toxic singer shared an old video of the former couple performing a dance routine, with Sam twirling her around and lifting her up before they exchange a kiss.
In the lengthy caption, the pop superstar reflected on their short-lived marriage and admitted their relationship wasn't "all peaches and cream".
"The time he picked me up," she began. "Looking back is hard sometimes but it's honestly crucial... I'm honestly too sensitive in most situations.
"I speak about my past sometimes because I want to protect myself from the same mistakes as before !!!"
Britney, 42, began dating Sam, 30, after meeting on the set of her Slumber Party music video in 2016. They tied the knot in her California home in June 2022 and he filed for divorce in August last year.
In her Instagram post, the singer described herself as a "complicated sensitive" who "trusted people more" when she was younger and "hadn't experienced the cruelness of the world yet".
"I miss being vulnerable and open with people. If you know me, you know how I love... I love too much it's embarrassing and I will love you for life !!! That's a trait I want to try and keep but it's not all peaches and cream as they say," she continued.
"My hopes in sharing is that by remembering that I can try and understand why I never feel good enough and to know it's ok to get inside my brain (and) try to figure it out. Honestly there is an all knowing spiritual eye that knows the truth and triggers to why we do things as people. It's important to go in there and figure it out yourself (sic)!!!"
Britney later deleted the post.
