Kacey Musgraves is glad she didn't let her anxiety stop her from enjoying her recent performances on Saturday Night Live.

The Follow Your Arrow singer served as the musical guest on the sketch comedy show in early March, performing her songs Deeper Well and Too Good to Be True.

Kacey admitted in an interview with Variety that she is "always riddled with anxiety" when she performs on TV, however, she managed to "harness" her anxiety so it didn't "overtake" her this time.

"I think that’s probably something that a lot of people probably wouldn’t guess about me - that I can really have a lot of performance anxiety in those type of situations," she confessed. "But I felt more grounded than ever and I was able to really enjoy the experience, which is what it’s all about.

"I can easily walk away from a lot of those high-pressure situations not having enjoyed it until they’re over, and this time was different, and I felt like I was really able to enjoy it, and that made me really happy."

The country singer hit headlines for forgetting to take out a hair clip before joining guest host Sydney Sweeney on stage for the final bow. She reposted an image of the show's finale and wrote, "The clip. I forgot to remove the clip."

Addressing the "oversight", Kacey told the outlet, "It was just really funny to me that literally no one caught the fact that I still had this clip in there that just like wasn’t supposed to be there. But, you know - it was real."
