Britney Spears believes "there has been no justice" after settling her legal battle with her father Jamie Spears.

The Toxic singer reached an undisclosed settlement with her estranged father last week over his legal fees, bringing an end to the long-running dispute.

On Sunday, two days after the settlement was publicly announced, Britney took to Instagram to seemingly address the news.

"My family hurt me!!! There has been no justice and probably never will be!!!" the 42-year-old wrote in a since-deleted post. "The people who sat and did absolutely nothing when they did that for four months are smooth sailing!!!

"The way I was brought up I was always taught the formative of right and wrong but the very two people who brought me up with that method hurt me !!! I am so lucky to be here!!!"

The pop star went on to claim that she hasn't spoken to Jamie or her mother Lynn Spears face to face.

"It's funny 'cus till this very day I haven't told them face to face!!! I text through IG but I honestly believe it will not be so safe if I ever did go face to face so !!!" she continued.

"The child in me knows they would be destroyed and that's basically it!!! I do miss my home in Louisiana and I wish I could visit but they took everything!!!"

Britney has repeatedly accused her family members of wrongdoing during her conservatorship, which ran for 13 years until its termination in November 2021.

Jamie, who was removed as his daughter's conservator shortly before the termination, had asked the singer to pay his legal fees resulting from the conservatorship battle. The details surrounding their settlement have not been disclosed.

Her lawyer Mathew Rosengart said on Friday, "Although the conservatorship was terminated in November, 2021, her wish for freedom is now truly complete. As she desired, her freedom now includes that she will no longer need to attend or be involved with court or entangled with legal proceedings in this matter."
