Still riding high on the back of the very successful "Hobble on the Cobbles" (2006 & 2007) free live-music festivals, which saw John Otway's welcome return to the Market Square stage after 28 years in 2006, and FiSH and Marillion sharing the same stage (after 19 years) in 2007, Aylesbury Showcase are pleased to announce they will be putting together another festival in August 2008.
The date is already scheduled for Sunday 24 August 2008 and a number of bands have already started submitting their application forms in the hope they will be selected to perform on the main stage this summer in Market Square, Aylesbury.
Eddie & The Hot Rods have already confirmed to headline this event, which attracted over 5000 people last summer.
Aylesbury Showcase organiser and Jam Central Records' managing director Stuart Robb explains: "We’re very excited Eddie & The Hot Rods have confirmed to be involved in this great event, and we hope the public will continue to support Hobble on the Cobbles as they have the past two years.
Bands wanting to perform at the festival must complete and submit the application form, which can be downloaded from the official Aylesbury Showcase website: AylesburyShowcase.co.uk
Bands who complete the application form are not guaranteed a slot on the main stage, however if they are talented, exciting, hard working and dedicated, then Aylesbury Showcase will certainly listen to all entries and take each band into consideration.
