(Cover) - EN News Features - Nicki Minaj has apologised to fans following the cancellation of her Manchester concert after her detainment in Amsterdam on Saturday.

The rapper was due to take her Pink Friday 2 live show to the Co-Op Live arena as part of her ongoing UK and European tour, but she was unable to make it to the gig after the arrest in the Netherlands.

Minaj live-streamed her own arrest as she was detained by Dutch police for allegedly carrying drugs.

In the early hours of Sunday morning the rapper apologised to fans, revealing she had made it to Manchester, but too late to perform.

"Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you," the Anaconda rapper wrote. "May you be blessed beyond your imagination."

She then went on to state that she is at her Manchester hotel and revealed she had been detained for "5-6 hours", blaming Dutch authorities for what she alleged was a deliberate attempt to delay her to stop the concert.

"After sitting in a jail cell for 5-6 hours, my plane still didn't take off for another 20 mins once I boarded," she raged. "The flight was 50 mins. 50 mins. That's why they had to do the big song & dance b/c they knew I'd still find a way to perform even if it came down to my last 90 mins in the building which would have been until 1130pm. The building was willing to go past 11pm. So grateful to them for that."

Nicki then apologised to her fans for the cancellation, writing: "Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass."

The star added that another Manchester date and a Birmingham gig will go ahead now she is safely in the U.K. The stopped Manchester concert will now either take place in June or July, according to Minaj.
