Megan Thee Stallion sent her fans wild by announcing the title and release date of her next album during her concert in Atlanta on Sunday.

The Hot Girl Summer star thrilled the audience at the State Farm Arena by revealing that her third studio album is titled Megan and it would be released on 28 June.

The album cover flashed up on the screens, showing a naked Megan emerging from a cocoon hanging upside down from a tree.

She later posted the artwork on Instagram with the caption, "SURPRISE HOTTIESSSS!!!! My New Album MEGAN will be coming out JUNE 28. Click the link in bio to PRE-SAVE NOW (sic)!"

The record, the follow-up to 2022's Traumazine, marks Megan's first release as a fully independent artist following her departure from her former label 1501 Certified Entertainment after a legal battle. After both parties reached a confidential settlement in October 2023, the rapper launched her independent company Hot Girl Productions.

The album will feature her three most recent singles Boa, Cobra and Hiss.

In an interview with L'OFFICIEL USA last week, the 29-year-old shared that renewal and rebirth are the main concepts of the album.

Teasing its sound, she added, "This is music I would like if I wasn't Megan Thee Stallion. I don't want to say I'm tapping into other genres. I'm just tapping into other sounds. But it's still very much Megan Thee Stallion. It won't feel like I went so left. It'll feel true to me. You'll almost be like, I wouldn't have thought she would've rapped over that, but this sounds great."

Megan performed in Atlanta on Sunday after her shows on Friday and Saturday were rescheduled due to a burst water main. She will take to the stage at the same venue on Monday night.
