Geri Horner refers to herself as her maiden name Geri Halliwell in a new video amid the ongoing scandal surrounding her husband Christian Horner.

The Spice Girls star called herself by her maiden name in a social media video for French fashion house Dior.

"Bonjour! C'est moi Geri, Geri Halliwell," she said at the start of the clip, which translates to, "Hello! It's me Geri, Geri Halliwell."

The video followed Geri as she learned more about Dior's history with Scotland ahead of the brand's runway show at Drummond Castle in Crieff on Monday 3 June.

Geri, who took the surname Horner upon marrying Christian in 2015, had recently been referring to herself as Geri Halliwell-Horner, the moniker she also uses on social media.

Her name change comes after the Red Bull Formula One boss was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female team employee earlier this year. He strongly denied any wrongdoing and was cleared of misconduct following an investigation. His accuser was reportedly suspended on full pay and is currently appealing the decision to clear Christian.

At a news conference in March, the Red Bull team principal thanked his "supportive wife" as he called for a line to be drawn under the incident.

"I'm very thankful I have a beautiful family and a very supportive wife. I'm the only one who has been named in this," Horner said, reports CBS Sports. "So of course, it's very trying. When there's children involved, family, parents... it's not pretty.

"The intrusion on my family is now enough. We need to move forward. Obviously, there's been an awful lot of coverage surrounding this. But one has to go back to the basis that a grievance was raised, it was investigated, and it was dismissed."

Geri and Christian share a seven-year-old son named Montague, while they both have older daughters from previous relationships.
