Gigi Hadid has gifted Taylor Swift a custom-designed friendship ring
The model chose London-based designer Cece Jewellery to create the bespoke piece, which included nods to Taylor's latest album, her boyfriend Travis Kelce, and her cat Benjamin Button.
"What an absolute honor it was to create something special for Taylor Swift!!!!!!!," a team member from Cece Jewellery wrote via Instagram.
"Gifted to her by her best friend, this piece features her famous cat, Benjamin Button, encircled by a lustrous pearl border with flaming hearts on either side. It includes her favorite number, 13, on one side and Travis Kelce's jersey number 87 on the other."
The post included a number of close-up photos of the chunky, signet-style ring that featured an enamelled painting of Taylor's cat - the same pet Taylor, 34, wore draped across her shoulders for her 2023 TIME Person of the Year cover photo.
Each side of the ring incorporated a flaming heart with the numbers 87 and 13 respectively, representing 34-year-old Travis's Kansas City Chiefs football jersey number, and Swift's lucky number.
The inside of the band was engraved with the letters "TTPD," in honour of Taylor's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Gigi, 29, commented, "It's perfect thank u x." on the post. Her friendship with Taylor goes back to at least 2014, when they were first photographed together at the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
