GRAMMY nominated, multi-platinum singer-songwriter Noah Kahan’s breakthrough hit single “Stick Season” is now certified 4x Platinum and has surpassed over 1 billion streams on Spotify. His beloved 2022 album Stick Season is now certified Double Platinum. In addition, the critically acclaimed artist has achieved several new RIAA Certifications throughout his catalog today.
Last Friday, Kahan teamed up with Kelsea Ballerini for her emotional and vulnerable new single “Cowboys Cry Too,” following the singer-songwriters’ duet performance in May on the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards. Of the collaboration, Billboard proclaimed, “Featuring reflective lyrics, twangy guitar and fiddle, [‘Cowboys Cry Too’] finds the two stars’ voices blending beautifully together,” while Rolling Stone declared, “Over an easy tempo, Ballerini sings about how her man is ‘as stubborn as the weeds in the backyard’ because of having a hard time growing up, while Kahan sings about how you can’t outdrive pain.” The New York Times praised the song, saying, “With string-band fiddle and mandolin set amid an arena-country march, Ballerini and Kahan praise vulnerability as a different form of toughness, one that’s not encouraged by family or culture.”
Recently, Kahan and his mental health initiative The Busyhead Project announced “Live From Fenway Park: Official Livestream” for his upcoming sold-out shows at Boston’s Fenway Park on July 18th and 19th as part of his ongoing “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour”. A portion of all proceeds from each livestream ticket and merch bundle will be donated to The Busyhead Project and support local New England organizations that provide access to mental health care, including: Hannah’s House (Waitsfield, VT), Shine Initiative (Worcester, MA), KyleCares (Attleboro, MA), Connor’s Climb Foundation (Exeter, NH), and The Yellow Tulip Project (Portland, ME). The Fenway Park Livestream is the latest initiative from Kahan and The Busyhead Project, as they recently revealed a full slate of activations and partnerships during the tour. On every date, Noah is welcoming fans to connect with local mental health organizations at The Busyhead Project Action Village. Visitors can learn more about organizations, share a positive message to The Busyhead Project Community Wall, and even prepare to vote with actions courtesy of HeadCount. Kahan and The Busyhead Project have also cemented a partnership with Backline and created a fund to provide tour-wide access to licensed mental health care providers for the entire band and crew on the road. Not to mention, Kahan recently announced a benefit concert in Vermont on September 19th, with its proceeds going towards local Vermont-based organizations to give back to his home state. Since launching last year, The Busyhead Project has already raised over $2 million dollars in pursuit of its ultimate goal to make mental healthcare accessible for all by joining forces with national and local organizations to increase mental health awareness, amplify discussion, and democratize resources.
Up next, Kahan will bring the “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour” to the east coast with two sold-out nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden followed by the back-to-back sold-out shows at Boston’s Fenway Park, with James Bay, Mt. Joy, and John Vincent III as special guests for the New York and Boston dates. The sold-out tour has received rave reviews thus far and seen surprise appearances from various artists along the way, including Jelly Roll, Kelsea Ballerini, Reneé Rapp, Hozier, Gregory Alan Isakov, Adam Durtiz of Counting Crows, and Shakey Graves.
