Kasabian take an early lead in the race to top this week’s Official Albums Chart with Happenings.

The eighth studio album from the Leicester-formed rockers – comprising Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Tim Carter – would mark the band’s seventh consecutive Number 1 LP in the UK.

At the midweek mark Kasabian are outselling their nearest competition, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department (2), 2:1.

She’s hot to go! One of the most promising names in pop right now, Chappell Roan’s sparkling, kitschy debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, is on track to break into the Top 5 for the first time this Friday (5).

Zach Bryan’s fifth album The Great American Bar Scene could earn the US country star his highest-charting debut in the UK yet (15). The record includes Zach’s recent Top 40 single Pink Skies, alongside collaborations with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer.

Enter Shikari release Dancing On The Frontline (25); a companion record to 2023’s chart-topping A Kiss For The Whole World. It’s set to become the band’s ninth Top 40 entry in the Official Albums Chart.

Chingford-formed rockers The Rifles return with their first studio album in eight years. Love Your Neighbour which is on its way to becoming Joel Stoker, Lucas Crowther, Robert Pyne, Grant Marsh and Den Mumford’s fifth Top 40 album (26).

And finally, alternative-folk trio Fink approach their first-ever entry on the Official Albums Chart with Beauty In Your Wake (35).
