The Detroit rapper is outselling his closest competition more than 3:1 at the midweek mark, as lead single Houdini tracks to return to the Official Singles Chart summit for a third non-consecutive week.
Eminem already boasts 10 Official Number 1 albums in the UK across a career spanning 25 years: The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), The Eminem Show (2002), Encore (2004), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Relapse (2009), Recovery (2010), The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018) and Music to Be Murdered By (2020).
Elsewhere in what’s set to be an all-new Top 5, Travis expect to net their highest-charting LP in 23 years with L.A. Times (2). It could earn the Glaswegian rockers a tenth Top 10 album, joining Good Feeling (1997), The Man Who (1999), The Invisible Band (2001), 12 Memories (2003), hits collection Singles (2004), The Boy With No Name (2007), Where You Stand (2013), Everything At Once (2016) and 10 Songs (2020).
Hertfordshire-born singer-songwriter Griff expects to earn her second Top 10 Albums Chart placing with debut studio album Vertigo (3), and Streatham export Cat Burns could land her first with her own debut LP, early twenties (4).
Cigarettes After Sex look to earn a career-best with X’s, their first body of work in five years (5). Previously, the Texan trio enjoyed Official Albums Chart success with eponymous 2017 debut Cigarettes After Sex (27) and 2019 release Cry (36).
Following a multi-format reissue, John Lennon’s 1973 work Mind Games could claim a brand-new peak this week, currently at Number 10. The record previously peaked at Number 13 on its original release 51 years ago.
Atlanta-born singer-songwriter Clairo looks to sink her first-ever Top 40 album with third studio release Charm (12), as does New York native Cassandra Jenkins with My Light, My Destroyer (15).
With the release of new single Funeral, Teddy Swims’ debut I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) looks to rebound 31 back into the Top 40 (28). Meanwhile, OneRepublic hope to secure a sixth Top 40 LP with Artificial Paradise (29).
Finally, Liverpool rock outfit STONE, comprising Fin Power, Sarah Surrage, Elliot Gill and Alex Smith, look to make their Official Albums Chart debut with Fear Life for a Lifetime (38).
