Lily Allen has revealed she once left a theatre play early to get intimate with her husband David Harbour.
The 39-year-old singer has recalled how during one date in the early days of their romance the Stranger Things actor began rubbing her leg in such an intimate way it left her desperate to get home.
"We'd been out for dinner a couple of times and then the third time I went out with him we went to the theatre to go and see The Lehman Trilogy," she told her longtime friend Miquita Oliver during an episode of their podcast Miss Me? "I think it was in the first bit of the play... he just like grabbed my hand and started like stroking it - almost like f***ing it with his hand or something.
"It was the most intense thing. I was like very English, 'Ooh my goodness, this person likes me - they want to be intimate with me.'
She added, "And then he like whispered in my ear...he was like, 'Shall we just like get out of here?'"
Lily has joked that although it had been difficult to get the tickets to watch the theatre production she had no qualms about leaving early.
"Then we left - and the rest was history," she smiled. "It was very intense. I hadn't really had that (before)."
Lily and David, 49, began dating in 2019 and were married in Las Vegas in September 2020.
