Eminem sails into his 11th Number 1 album with The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).

Logging 45,000 chart units this week, Eminem now pulls level with David Bowie, Taylor Swift and U2 who also have 11 chart-topping albums apiece.

Eminem’s previous chart-toppers are The Marshall Mathers LP (2000), The Eminem Show (2002), Encore (2004), Curtain Call: The Hits (2005), Relapse (2009), Recovery (2010), The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018) and Music To Be Murdered By (2020).

Meanwhile, previous BRITs rising star winner Griff lands at Number 3 with her debut full-length studio album Vertigo, a new personal best following 2021 EP One Foot In Front of The Other which reached Number 4.

The singer, songwriter and musician celebrated as she received an Official Top 10 award from Official Charts to mark the occasion.

Speaking to Official Charts, Griff said: “Anyone who’s listened to my music, followed the journey, it’s been a real rollercoaster, and it means the world that you’ve supported, bought the album, listened to it, streamed it. I love you forever and hopefully will see you on tour so we can sing this album together.”

Scottish rock band Travis earn their 10th Top 10 with L.A. Times (4) and take pride of place as the Number 1 album of the week on the Official Record Store Chart.

Also making a Top 10 debut this week is London-born singer-songwriter Cat Burns, with her debut album Early Twenties (7).

Just outside the Top 10, American dream pop band Cigarettes After Sex earn their highest charting album ever, landing at Number 12 with X’s, their third Top 40, and topping the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. Very close behind is Atlanta-born singer Clairo, who scores her first Top 40 album with Charm.

Further down, Travis Scott sees his Utopia album re-enter the Top 40 (38) following two UK tour dates earlier this week, and finally John Lennon’s 1973 solo album Mind Games finishes at Number 39. Previously it peaked at 13 on its original release.
