Sam Smith is free of "exes and all these different people through the years" after ditching their phone.
The 32-year-old singer, who identifies as non-binary and uses they-them pronouns, has also appreciated connecting with nature now they use a device that is devoid of social media.
Speaking on the Sidetracked podcast, Sam said, "I actually just got rid of my phone and I got a new phone. It's the first time I don't have my library of music, that I'd had since I was like 11."
They explained, "I started again - fully started again. I needed an American number and my phone was just full of people like exes and all these different people through the years. I got a new one and then I put my old phone on airplane mode and I've never turned it off."
The Unholy singer added, "And I took social media off. Everything It's crazy. I find myself sitting on benches now in parks just looking at the trees."
Sam has previously enjoyed romances with actor and model Jonathan Zeizel, 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn, and reality star Charlie King, among others.
The star has most recently been linked to fashion designer Christian Cowan, with reports in January this year revealing they have been together at least two years, however they have been keeping their romance very much out of the spotlight.
