After a successful crowdfund campaign, and the welcome prospect of long-term financial backing from investors, West London’s historic Bush Hall is packing its music listings with confidence once again. To mark this great news, Frank Carter and three members of The Sex Pistols are performing a handful of sold out shows at the venue in August, with all proceeds supporting the venue’s long term cultural output.
Brand new partnerships with events company Sugar & Rind (who will manage bookings for weddings, Christmas and private events) and Fightback Lager (which donates a portion of its profits to grassroots venues every time a pint is sold) are also in place, further strengthening the venue's long term plans for the future.
Over the years, Bush Hall has hosted career building shows by Amy Winehouse, Kings of Leon, and Florence & The Machine, as well as playing host to more recent appearances from household name acts, like Alicia Keys in 2020. And now, thanks to amazing support from its community and the music world, the wonderfully intimate and historically rich venue can continue to host such memorable performances, while also supporting incredible emerging talent.
“We couldn’t be happier that Bush Hall is able to continue its legacy as a much-loved venue for live music and events," said Charlie Raworth, the managing director and co-owner of Bush Hall. "This was only possible with the tremendous support of our community and our team. We can now look forward to confidently programming music for the years ahead."
Bush Hall was established in 1904 and became a music venue in 2001. But earlier this year, the future of live music at the venue came under threat. Thankfully, the success of the crowdfunding campaign, and the intervention of passionate music lovers and performers — like Frank Carter and three members of The Sex Pistols — has ensured the venue will continue to welcome music fans for many years to come.
The new partnership with Sugar & Rind means weddings, birthdays, and Christmas parties are all starting to fill the diary once again, too. And, to ensure guests continue making long-lasting memories at the venue, the in-house Bush Hall team is committed to working closely with Sugar & Rind to deliver seamless and magical experiences for everyone in attendance.
Notable features of the revitalised Bush Hall include:
State-of-the-art sound and lighting Upgraded audio equipment and the upcoming addition of improved lighting will enhance the live music experience.
Diverse programming The Bush Hall team is committed to showcasing a wide range of musical genres and emerging artists, alongside a range of diverse cultural performances
Community engagement New initiatives to involve local musicians and music fans will be put in place, ensuring that Bush Hall remains a community hub.
Experienced event management The partnership between Sugar & Rind and the Bush Hall team means events will be handled with passion and experience from booking right through to delivery
