Cardi B has taken to Instagram to clear up a report that her estranged husband, Offset, is "unsupportive", amid their imminent divorce and her third pregnancy.

The Bodak Yellow singer - born Belcalis Almánzar - responded to People's claim she filed for divorce because her marriage with the Atlanta-born rapper was "more of a distraction than support".

When celebrity blogs started to circulate the claims from the unnamed source, Cardi added her own comments to one site's Instagram post to rebut the information.

"OK this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids," Cardi wrote on Saturday 3 August.

She added, "Never in my career, no matter what I went through, I had friends or family go to the media, sooo I don't know who is this damn source going to People magazine."

The Bronx-bred artist further stressed, "Even wit (sic) my filing, I'm not asking for child support. My claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one."

The former couple is expecting their third child together. They already share a daughter, Kulture, six, and a son, Wave, two.

The rapper announced her pregnancy on 1 August, a day after she initiated the divorce from the Migos member.

She initially filed for divorce in September 2020, but backtracked on the decision two months later.
