Kesha has named the artists she's been listening to while creating her upcoming album.

The singer has opened up about the music she listens to while working on her forthcoming sixth studio album.

"I wake up in the morning and I turn on an Italo-disco playlist and pretend that I'm in Italy, on a boat, for a solid hour," Kesha told Paper magazine in a recent interview. "Then I will lean over into Neil Young, Merle Haggard. Get some country in there. Chappell Roan is always the afternoon vibe. And Sabrina Carpenter."

The TiK ToK hitmaker then went on to gush about singer-songwriter Chappell, who recently gained popularity with her song Good Luck, Babe.

"With Chappell, I just think she's a cool, magical spirit," Kesha said. "I love it, I love seeing it."

Kesha added that she picks her music to fit her mood and "what kind of b**ch I need to conjure up that night".

"That's the power of pop music! It can help you get into an energy that you're wanting to, so if I'm trying to be chill, put on chill music, and if I'm trying to turn up, put on turn-up music," she shared. "That's why music is so f**king magical."

When the reporter suggested getting her inspirations on the album, the singer replied, "I'm down to make art with rad people, let's go."

Kesha recently released the lead single Joyride from her forthcoming album, which doesn't yet have a title or release date.
