Kanye West has found a buyer for the beachfront Malibu house he gutted and then attempted to sell on.

The rapper, known professionally as 'Ye', has sold the property via Jason Oppenheim of the Oppenheim Group, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It is reportedly currently in escrow while the deal goes through.

The sale comes more than six months after the Jesus Walks musician first listed the property for $53 million (£41.4 million) - a price he later later dropped the price to $39 million (£30.5 million) this April.

The home was designed by Tadao Ando and built around a decade ago and bought by West in 2021. He reportedly removed all its interiors, meaning a new owner would need to spend a significant sum restoring it to a liveable state.

"What's missing are the interiors," Oppenheim told The Hollywood Reporter when first listing the house in December. "It's priced to reflect the need for the interior finishes to be replaced. On the positive, it can be brought up to 2024 standards - it was built about 10 years ago."

However, Oppenheim added: "The architectural integrity of Tadao Ando's work exists today. He's largely known for his concrete work and the significant cost of this house is in the concrete work."

West has also faced legal action asking for payment on works carried out on the home, which put obstacles in the way of the sale - with a contractor alleging he was owed more than $1 million (£780,000) for his work. However, that appears to now no longer be blocking matters.

The four-bedroom, 4,0000-square-foot beachfront house has Pacific Ocean views from every room.
