Items belonging to the late DJ Avicii are set to go up for sale in a charity auction.
The Swedish DJ, born Tim Bergling, rose to prominence with his debut studio album True in 2013 and garnered international success with his single Wake Me Up.
Avicii passed away in April 2018 at the age of 28, and his family later confirmed he died by suicide.
Six years on, organisers from Stockholms Auktionsverk announced on Monday that an auction of the late music star's personal items will take place on 1 October. The auction has been authorised by his family and all proceeds will benefit The Tim Bergling Foundation - a charity that campaigns for the mental health and wellbeing of young people.
"We are incredibly proud to present this auction. Tim Bergling touched countless people worldwide and continues to do so both through his music and the foundation the family has established in his name," stated Cecilia Gave, chief executive of Stockholms Auktionsverk. "It is a true honour to support The Tim Bergling Foundation to help even more young people. We have 350 years of experience passing on the artifacts of some of history's most prominent cultural figures and consider it a privilege."
The auction will consist of 267 lots, with items ranging from clothes, shoes, musical instruments, and other memorabilia related to the artist's musical career.
An auction catalogue will be available from 6 September, while items will be available to view at a showroom in Stockholm, Sweden from 24 September.
