Olivia Rodrigo brought out Chappell Roan as a surprise guest during her concert in Inglewood, California on Tuesday night.

The Drivers License singer welcomed her former tour opener to the stage at the Intuit Dome to perform her song Hot to Go!

"I think she is one of the most singular, inspiring, powerful artists I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I'm so excited because she's gonna sing one of my favourite songs of all time," Olivia told the crowd before introducing Chappell.

After walking across the stage and giving the Vampire hitmaker a hug, Chappell said, "We're gonna sing a song, and we're gonna teach you a dance."

They then sang her 2023 single together, performing the arm movements to the chorus.

The duet marks a full-circle moment for the singers, who both work with producer Dan Nigro. Chappell opened for Olivia on the first U.S. leg of her Guts World Tour between February and April this year.

The Pink Pony Club hitmaker has since skyrocketed to fame thanks to the success of her single Good Luck, Babe! and performances at festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball and Lollapalooza. Her popularity has risen at such a phenomenal rate that some festival organisers had to move her to a bigger stage to accommodate her fans.

Her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, reached #1 on the U.K. album chart and #2 on the Billboard 200 last week despite being released in September 2023.

Olivia wraps up the second U.S. leg of her Guts World Tour on Wednesday night. After a break, she will resume the tour in Asia in September.
