Today, British superstar Sophie Ellis-Bextor releases a live version of her beloved global hit “Murder on the Dancefloor,” recorded at her sold-out Webster Hall show in New York earlier this summer as part of her first-ever headline tour in North America.
After featuring in the epic final scene of Emerald Fennell’s much-talked-about 2023 film Saltburn, the 2001 single has experienced a second breakthrough over 20 years after its original release, especially in the U.S., where it’s now officially Certified Platinum with over 580 million Spotify streams to date.
Following her sold-out run across the U.S. and a slew of tour dates with Nile Rodgers & CHIC and festival performances throughout the UK and Europe this summer, Sophie will return to North America next month for a handful of additional dates throughout November.
Tour dates include Chicago’s The Vic Theatre on September 3rd, Los Angeles’ The Bellwether on September 6th, San Francisco’s The Fillmore on September 7th, Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom on September 13th, Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre on November 14th, and more—see the full list of upcoming tour dates below.
