Lizzo has announced she's taking a year off while holidaying on the Indonesian island of Bali.
The About Damn Time singer looked serene as she stood out on a balcony in a one-piece swimsuit surrounded by the forest, with a steamy rain shower beating down.
"I'm taking a gap year & protecting my peace," the singer announced in an Instagram update.
Over the weekend, Lizzo has been giving fans glimpses of her visit, sharing shots of herself in her holiday home and in the pool. In one post she teases, "Unfortunately I'll be posting way too many bikini pics."
After a public battle with depression, the star gave an update on her mental health in May this year, revealing, "I'm the happiest I've been in 10 months. The strange thing about depression is you don't know you're in it until you're out of it. I'm definitely not all the way as carefree as I used to be. But the dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up. My smile reaches my eyes again and that's a win."
In August 2023, three former tour dancers filed a lawsuit against Lizzo, alleging sexual misconduct and hostile work conditions. Lizzo claimed the accusations to be false and deemed them "sensationalised stories".
The lawsuit is currently on hold.
