Taylor Swift is getting set to release her debut novel.

The Cruel Summer singer, who has just wrapped the European leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, has previously spoken about the novel she wrote as a teenager.

Titled A Girl Called Girl, the story is about a mum who wanted a son instead of a daughter. Taylor wrote it when she was 14.

She trademarked the name and rights to the story around 10 years ago, but has now taken out a new trademark. This covers merchandise for the book, as well as audio versions.

Taylor has previously spoken about her desire to write, talking about what drove her to put pen to paper when she was on tour.

"All my friends were back in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do," she said. "I had this epiphany; I'm going to be a novelist and I'm going to write novels. That's going to be my career path." ??????

It's believed the 34-year-old has several other projects in the pipeline, including a re-recorded version of her 2017 album, Reputation.

The singer is now taking a break from her world tour, and is reportedly staying at her Rhode Island holiday house with boyfriend Travis Kelce. The $17 million (£12.87 million) house has become known for Taylor's infamous Independence Day parties, attended by A-listers.

Taylor will resume her Eras tour in in Canada this November.
