Keith Urban has given Miley Cyrus an unusual compliment.
During an appearance on Wednesday's episode of the Fitzy and Wippa with Kate Ritchie podcast, the Australian country singer, 56, gushed about the 31-year-old hitmaker's voice.
"I love Miley. I've always loved Miley," Keith said. "I love that voice, man, that voice."
"She sounds like an ashtray - and I mean that as a compliment," the musician continued, insisting, "I literally mean that as a compliment."
Over the past year, Keith has covered Miley's 2023 hit Flowers several times.
In previous interviews, the Blue Ain't Your Color singer has shown his support for other female artists, including Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande.
"I mean, God, Taylor's songwriting, it's so extraordinary. There's really no adjectives for it," he told People earlier this year. "She's such a great, great writer. So this new album (The Tortured Poets Department) is just more proof of that in really great way."
The country singer then revealed that he was a big fan of Ariana's song We Can't Be Friends, which was released earlier this year.
"I don't know what is going on with that song, but I cannot stop playing it. It's like audible heroin," Keith gushed. "Literally, I have to have another hit. I play that thing over and over and over."
