Dave Grohl has denied recent claims about the identity of his new baby.
On Tuesday, the 55-year-old Foo Fighters star confessed that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage to his wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum.
A day after his announcement, a social media user went viral after sharing a photo of a baby on Instagram that she claimed was the rocker's newborn daughter, calling her Roxie Junie Grohl.
In a lengthy caption, the Instagram user, who identified herself as the baby's mother, alleged that Grohl had been "by (her) side through the entire pregnancy".
"My sweet Roxie Junie Grohl, being your mama has already been the most incredible experience of my life," she wrote. "Every day, I fall more in love with you and this new role. Your daddy, was by my side through the entire pregnancy, making sure we were both taken care of, and I'm so grateful for his love and support."
The Instagram user went on to claim that the baby is a "Grohl through and through".
In response, a representative for the musician confirmed that the post was fake and the child featured in the photo was not his.
Grohl shocked fans when he announced the birth of his daughter in a statement on Instagram.
"I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage," he wrote. "I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
Grohl and Blum, who married in 2003, have three daughters; Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
