Zach Bryan has deactivated his X account after posting a controversial message about Taylor Swift.
On Wednesday, the country music star took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to write, "eagles > chiefs, Kanye > Taylor, who's with me."
The post seemed to target not only Taylor, but also her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
The rivalry between National Football League (NFL) teams the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chiefs has heated up in recent years, with the Chiefs victorious at the 2023 Super Bowl.
However, Zach deleted his account a short time later, with many of Taylor's fans coming to her defence online.
"He knew not to mess with the Swifties," one wrote, while another added: "Got all brave just to wimp out and deactivate."
Zach has not yet posted any reaction to the drama on his Instagram page, which remains active.
Taylor has not weighed in on the controversy.
Tension remains between the Fortnight hitmaker and hip-hop star Kanye.
Their feud started back in 2009 when Taylor was accepting the prize for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards and the Stronger rapper took to the stage, grabbed the microphone from her, and proclaimed Beyoncé deserved the award instead.
