Nick Cannon has shared Mariah Carey is "doing the best she possibly can" following the deaths of her mother and sister.

During an interview with Page Six, the presenter was asked to give fans an update on his ex-wife after she tragically lost her mother Patricia and sister Alison on the same day last month.

Nick explained that Mariah has turned to loved ones for support while she grieves.

"She's doing the best that she possibly can, considering the circumstances," he shared. "But as a family, we just got to be there to support one another, show love."

Nick also added that Mariah has been focusing on their 13-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, and spending quality time with them.

"She's really having a great time with the kids," he revealed. "That is, you know, the most important thing in the world to her, so it's outstanding to see them supporting their mom the way they do."

Mariah, 55, recently shared a brief update with fans following her loss and confirmed she was rehearsing for upcoming shows in Brazil and China.

"Back at work. It's been a couple of rough weeks, but I appreciate everyone's love and support so much and I can't wait to see my fans," she wrote in a message to accompany an Instagram video of her rehearsing her hit song It's Like That.
