Sabrina Carpenter’s Taste continues to dominate the Official Singles Chart – completing a straight month at Number 1 today.

The third chart-topper this year for the pint-size pocket rocket (five feet to be exact!) now takes Sabrina’s total weeks at Number 1 in 2024 to 16 – making her the solo female artist with most combined weeks at Number 1 ever in a calendar year. Olivia Newton-John also managed 16 weeks in 1978 as part of two duets with John Travolta, You’re The One That I Want (nine weeks) and Summer Nights (six weeks).

Following her viral performance at last week’s VMA awards, Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! Lifts back up to its Number 2 peak.

In other Chappell news this week, the kitschy HOT TO GO! reaches a new peak (9), while the Lana Del Rey-esque Pink Pony Club makes its Official Chart debut (21) and becomes Chappell’s fourth UK Top 40 single.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With A Smile cracks the Top 5 for the first time (5), marking Bruno’s first UK Top 5 hit since 2016’s 24K Magic, which also peaked at Number 5.

Just outside the Top 10, The Weeknd scores this week’s highest new entry with Dancing In The Flames (12), his 38th Top 40 single, while Tate McRae isn’t far behind with big pop girl anthem it’s ok, i’m ok (14) becoming her seventh Top 40 single.

Gracie Abrams gains her first-ever Top 20 single with I love you, I’m sorry, up three week-on-week (18), while Charli xcx and Troye Sivan score a big debut with their Talk talk remix (24).

Teddy Swims’ latest single Bad Dreams debuts at Number 28, the US star’s third UK Top 40 hit, while Playboi Carti’s All Red becomes his first solo Top 40 entry, a new entry at Number 32.

And finally, North London rapper NDOTZ enters the Top 40 for the first time with Embrace It vaulting up a spectacular 39 places to Number 36.
