Garth Brooks' wife, Trisha Yearwood, and his three daughters are sticking by his side after the singer was accused of sexual assault and battery.

According to a report in Us Weekly, everyone around the embattled country singer "including Trisha and his daughters" believe him to be telling the truth, with an unnamed source declaring that "Everyone around him is shocked. He is a family man."

Brooks shares his three adult children with ex-wife Sandy Mahl, whom he divorced in 2001. He married Yearwood in 2005.

Brooks was named in a 3 October complaint, in which woman identified only as Jane Doe claimed that the country star raped her in 2019 while she was working for him as a hairstylist and makeup artist.

Singer Yearwood, who has been married to Brooks since 2005, sold her house in Brentwood, Tennessee on Wednesday, just 24 hours before her country superstar husband was sued for rape and battery.

The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home was sold for $3,340,000 (£2,545,000). The property was put on the market on 11 September.

Fox News reported that Yearwood bought the estate in 2000 and it served as the set location for her Emmy-winning cooking show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen.
