Lisa Marie Presley has shared secrets of her romance with Michael Jackson from beyond the grave.

The American singer, who passed away in January 2023 at the age of 54, was married to Jackson, who died in 2009 aged 50, from 1994 until 1996.

A new memoir titled From Here to the Great Unknown has been released after being completed by Presley's daughter, Riley Keough, in which the marriage and relationship was discussed.

Presley wrote of her romance with Jackson, as per the New York Post, "He told me he was still a virgin. I think he had kissed Tatum O'Neal, and he'd had a thing with Brooke Shields, which hadn't been physical apart from a kiss. He said Madonna had tried to hook up with him once, too, but nothing happened."

Revealing this put pressure on her, the star continued, "I was terrified because I didn't want to make the wrong move.

"When he decided to first kiss me, he just did it. He was instigating everything. The physical stuff started happening, which I was shocked at. I had thought that maybe we wouldn't do anything until we got married, but he said, 'I'm not waiting!'"

Presley and Jackson got married when she was 26 and he was 35 - with the ceremony taking place soon after she divorced her first husband, Danny Keough.

Recalling an early conversation with Jackson, Presley wrote, "Michael said,' I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm completely in love with you. I want us to get married and for you to have my children.'

"I didn't say anything immediately, but then I said, 'I'm really flattered, I can't even talk.' By then, I felt I was in love with him too."

From Here to the Great Unknown by Lisa Marie Presley and Riley Keough is out now.
