Billie Eilish has explained that she would "feel safe" with Kamala Harris as president of the USA.

The chart-topping singer and her co-writing brother Finneas have previously endorsed the 59-year-old politician to win the upcoming 2024 election.

And now the No Time to Die singer, 22, has further explained why she would prefer Harris to win the election over Republican candidate Donald Trump.

She told Vogue, "A lot of my fans are going to be able to vote for the first time. So I'm like, 'Do you like freedom?'"

She added, "First female president? Would be really amazing. I would love to feel safe as a woman in my country."

Last month, Eilish and her brother shared their intention to vote for Harris and her running partner Tim Walz on polling day.

She said in a social media post, "We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy."

Finneas, 27, added, "We can't let extremists control our lives, our freedoms and our future. The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris."

Eilish then added at the time, "Vote like your life depends on it. Because it does."

Americans will go to the polls on 5 November to decide whether current Vice President Harris or former President Trump should lead the country.
