Kanye West is facing accusations from a former staffer claiming he hired private investigators to tail wife Bianca Censori and look into the Kardashians.

Rolling Stone reports a John Doe has filed a 22-page lawsuit against the 47-year-old rapper.

The ex-employee says he was first hired to be a campaign manager when West considered another presidential bid in late 2022, with his role morphing into "Director of Intelligence".

Doe was then tasked with limiting his boss' "risks and bad press" which saw him conduct investigations, including following Bianca without her knowledge when she returned home to visit family in Australia and looking into Kanye's former wife Kim Kardashian, mother to his four children, and her famous family.

Doe alleges that in May West began to display erratic behaviour, including spending $850,000 on a set of titanium teeth and sacking a large majority of the Yeezy leadership.

The accuser backs up former Yeezy chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos' claims the megastar was hooked on nitrous oxide.

Attorney Ronald Zambrano told Rolling Stone: "My client believes there is a direct correlation between the nitrous oxide and the increase in paranoia and siege mentality that ended up happening in that timeframe that Doe worked for West.

"There were internal concerns about the amount of nitrous oxide that was being delivered to his house."

The plaintiff says his employment ended after an issue was raised from a a teacher at Kanye's Donda Academy "regarding safety concerns they had about some of the students".

The suit states that after Doe raised the concern, West "almost immediately called Doe to yell, curse and threaten Doe with great bodily injury, including death, if Doe repeated what Doe learned from the Donda employee."

Doe is suing West for emotional distress, retaliation and several violations of California labor codes and is seeking restitution of unpaid wages, attorneys' fees, and general and punitive damages to be determined at trial.

"(Doe) experienced panic attacks, anxiety, and severe emotional distress, which caused him to seek medical treatment and was placed in a facility to address his declining mental health," lawyers said.
