Peso Pluma has cancelled his Florida concerts after Hurricane Milton caused chaos throughout the state.

The Ella Baila Sola singer was scheduled to perform in Tampa on 16 October and Miami on 17 October as part of his Éxodo Tour.

"Due to the natural disasters affecting the communities of Florida, Peso Pluma has announced today that he will cancel his Tampa and Miami Éxodo Tour shows to stand in solidarity with those affected by the recent hurricanes that impacted the state," read a statement from Peso Pluma's team.

In addition, the Mexican rapper and singer has donated funds to local hurricane relief organisations.

"Our entire family at Double P Records/Prajin Parlay Inc prays for everyone affected to have a speedy recovery," the statement concluded.

Pluma joins other celebrities in donating to the relief efforts following a series of hurricanes to hit Florida. On Wednesday, Feeding America thanked Taylor Swift for donating $5 million to the organisation's hurricane relief efforts across Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee. On Thursday, footballer Tom Brady announced a $100,000 donation to relief efforts.

Pluma's Sunday concert in Greensboro, North Carolina, will now be the last of 25 scheduled shows on his North American tour.
