Brantley Gilbert paused his live show on Friday night to help deliver his own baby.

The country star was performing in Tupelo, Mississippi as part of his 2024 Off the Rails Tour when his wife, Amber, went into labour.

According to AntiMusic.com, Gilbert was four songs into his scheduled set when he left the stage to be with his wife for the birth of their third child.

He was pulled aside for an emergency backstage just after his set started and could be seen running offstage and out of the concert venue.

A spokesperson for Brantley confirmed that he had gone to his wife, who was in labour on the tour bus.

The pair welcomed their son, and after "briefly calling their families" to let them know the news, Brantley continued the concert.

Gilbert later detailed the birth of his son in a post to social media, writing, "So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I'll never forget. Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all... Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you."
