Janet Jackson has posted an emotional tribute to her late brother, Tito Jackson, a month after his death.

The Jackson 5 icon Tito died at the age of 70 on 15 September following a heart attack while on a road trip with his business partner Terry Harvey in New Mexico.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday 15 October, Janet paid tribute to her older brother one month after his sudden passing.

Sharing a photograph of herself with him as a child, the 58-year-old wrote, "May you rest in eternal peace. I miss you so much" - alongside a trio of praying hand emojis and a red heart emoji.

Tito's death was announced by his sons, Taj, Taryll and TJ, who perform in a pop band called 3T.

Sharing a photograph of themselves with their late father on Instagram on the day of his shock death, the singers wrote, "It's with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken."

The sons continued, "Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as 'Coach Tito' or some know him as 'Poppa T.' Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously."

They added, "It will forever be 'Tito Time' for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is 'Love One Another.' We love you Pops."
