Ozzy Osbourne's former guitarist Jake E. Lee has been shot multiple times in Las Vegas.

The musician, who used to play for Ozzy Osbourne, is in intensive care but fully conscious, according to his spokesperson. He is expected to make a full recovery.

TMZ reported the shooting occurred around 2:40 am on Tuesday, while he was walking his dog. It's believed the shooting was a random street crime and is under investigation. No arrests have been reported as yet.

Ozzy, 75, has expressed his concern for his former guitarist. "It's been 37 years since I've seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn't take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today," he said. "It's just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he'll be ok."

Jake's rep has said the investigation is ongoing, saying, "Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time."

Jake, 67, was Ozzy's guitarist between 1983 and 1987 before he was thrown out of the band by Sharon Osbourne. He went on to form the band Badlands with former Black Sabbath singer Ray Gillen in 1988.

In 2013 he formed Red Dragon Cartel and the band has released two albums.
